John Bicknell Auden was a geologist and an avid mountaineer, who worked in Indian Himalayas. The tricky pass was first discovered by JB Auden in 1935 and made the successful expedition four years later in 1939.
Auden's Col is a high-altitude expedition in Garhwal Himalayas, Uttarakhand in India. It constitutes the traversing the tricky Khatling glacier (connects Rudragaira valley with Bhilangna valley) and the Mayali pass patch of snow-field that is the passage between Bhilangna valley conjoining the Kedarnath cluster of peaks. The trek also narrates the mythological footpath for ancient Hindus walking between the shrine temples of Gangotri and Kedarnath. That in itself is intriguing. But what encompasses in between these shrines is a world of Himalayas that addresses your adrenaline impulses in the best possible ways. Whether you’re made of steel or synthetic is sometimes well tested in expeditions like Auden’s Col.
Auden’s col expedition unfolds to you the towering mountains and pristine glaciers of the Indian Himalayas. Audens' Col is amongst the least attempted high-altitude trek that surpasses your expectation if you are an admirer of the Himalayas.
It is not an easy trek and good fitness is a prerequisite. Excellent gears are required to make sure that Auden's Col can be completed without any problem.
Detailed information about this trek would be provided once you contact us.
