Kunjapuri is a Hindu temple dedicated to goddess Kunjadevi, a local deity that commands high respect from local population. The temple is mere 20-km drive from Rishikesh city and easily accessible. From the hill top where the temple is built you get a panoramic view of Indian Himalayan range with several prominent peaks like Chaukhamba and Sumeru visible.
A great way to enjoy the surrounding region is by taking a hike to the temple from Rishikesh . If going uphill is hard then you can do a downhill trek as well and still enjoy the mountains and villages of Garhwal Himalayas.
