Pindari glacier is amongst the easily accessible trek to any Glacier in Uttarakhand. The glacier is nestled between Nanda Devi and Nandakot - two gigantic peaks on Indian Himalayas. The glacier also becomes host to Pindar River, which later merges with Alaknanda river at Karnprayag. Reaching Zero point and to be able to witness this huge glacier is an elating feeling for any trekker.
Pindari glacier lies in Bageshwar district of Uttarakhand - India. Bageshwar is road-connected with New Delhi. From Bageshwar one needs to take the road trasnport to a small village called Kharkia. The trek starts from Kharkia an goes to Khati - Dwali - Phurkia. Khati is the last village on this route. However, the Kumaon Mandal Vikas Nigam (K.M.V.N) and PWD have their guest houses in Khati, Dwali and Phurkia making it a trek where you need to necessarily have camping gears with you. However, it is advisable to have a trekking guide or support crew with you while attempting Pindari glacier trek .
We are organizing Pindari Glacier trek from May till November, except in Monsoon season.
