It is an unknown lake – one of the many lakes of Uttarakhand – and information about this lake is limited to trekking experts like Dreamcatcher Adventure. The trek route to Painya Tal is decently steep uphill climb and often gets strenuous physically and mentally. The insufficiency of O2 makes breathing slightly difficult. However due to its relatively short distance the trek to Painya Tal Lake can be accomplished with proper gears and under the guidance of expert trekking crew.
Painya Tal distance from road-head is 26-km one way and would require 5-6 days hiking with all the equipments in place. This lake is in close proximity of Mayali Pass trek an arduous trek of crossing the Khatling Glacier.
